Teacher Intro

Dear Parents and Students

Welcome to Grade Eight at OLR School where we never give up our pursuit of learning; where we enjoy all subjects taught as they are correlated with field trips, such as: taking a Mission to Mars at Chabot Space and Science Center, doing live science at Crab Cove, visiting our Capitol in Sacramento to tie in with American History; attending Mass twice a week, reading the Stations of the Cross during Lent, helping feed the homeless, visiting the Elderly, having Kindergarten as our reading "Buddies", forming an "Honor Guard" at funerals, being the eldest for our Faith Family activities; all these help us become more cognizant in fulfilling our duties as Catholic Christians.

We also are involved in all Student Council Activities, and we coordinate logistics to publish our yearbook. We attend our own school dances and other neighboring schools' dances. Our highlight of the year is attending a 3-day retreat whereby we learn more about ourselves and our peers.

By never giving up our pursuit of learning, we also remember the past, we think of today, and we look forward to the future!
