 FRIDAY FOLDERS
    1.  Every Friday a green folder will go home with the week's work.
    2.  Please review the work with your child.
    3.  Date and sign the folder.
    4.  Return the folder to school every Monday.

WEDNESDAY FAMILY ENVELOPES
They are sent home every Wednesday with the week's information in it.  Please read and send only the envelope back on Thursday Morning.

NAPS
Naps will be everyday from 1:00 - 2:00.  The children do not have to fall asleep, but they do have to remain on their mats and be quiet.

ALL ABOUT ME
Your child will bring home a poster to be filled out. It can be done by drawings and pictures or both.  They should be able to share the information with the class.  When it is their turn they will bring the poster home on Friday and it will be due the following Monday.

SNACKS/BIRTHDAYS
Please provide your child with a healthy snack everyday.  They need it to be able to get through the morning until lunch.
Birthdays are exciting and fun to celebrate.  Cupcakes or cookies and juice are welcome in the classroom to celebrate your child's birthday, but please let me know in advance.  Celebrations may occur only during lunchtime from 12:00 - 12:30 OR goodie bags, if brought, will be passed out at the end of the day as the children go home.

Kinder Welcome Letter

 Welcome to Kindergarten!

I would like to welcome you to my Kindergarten Class.  Your child is about to embark on an exciting year of academic excellence, adventure, and growth.  By getting involved in your child's education, we will be more likely to insure his/her success with the Kindergarten Program.  We are a team.

I am looking forward to getting to know both your child and you.  This will be a very exciting year as you see the continual growth they will be making.  Our year will consist of learning our alphabet, numbers, colors, shapes, and writing.

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me at school (510) 471-3765 or at my emai address:  cmckeon@csdo.org.  Thank you.

God Bless You,

Kindergarten is WHAT?!

DISCIPLINE

DISCIPLINE POLICY

1.    The classroom is based on positive reinforcement.
       I will praise positive behavior.

2.    If disruptive behavior occurs, the student's name will go on the
       board.

3.    If disruption continues for the day, the student will have minutes
       taken away at recess time.

4.    If disruptive behavior persists on a daily basis, I will call the parents
and set up an appointment to discuss any situations that could be
causing the problem.  Also the principal will be notified.
